The touch switch application features a button that, upon activation, displays a selection of ten randomly chosen stimulating videos accompanied by one of fourteen randomly selected musical tracks. The videos and music play for a user-defined duration, remaining unaffected by accidental touches on the screen during playback. Once the interval concludes, the interface reverts to the initial button, which requires a subsequent press to reactivate.

The responsive activation area exceeds the visual boundaries of the button itself. It encompasses nearly the entire screen to accommodate users with limited motor control capabilities, ensuring easier access.

New (iOS 6+): The app now supports custom music integration from the user's iTunes library, enabling tailored auditory stimulation by selecting preferred tracks. This customization allows users to replace the default classical music with songs that better motivate or soothe the individual.

Note: To ensure proper functioning of custom music, verify that tracks are downloaded directly onto the device; streaming content from iCloud will not work. Additionally, ownership of the music is required—access via Apple Music subscription alone does not suffice.

New (iOS 6+): Users can now upload personal videos from their camera roll. This feature is particularly useful for individuals who respond more positively to familiar videos of themselves, friends, or specific interests. Simply record and include personalized content for enhanced engagement.

Additional updates include the ability for the button to change color among twelve options, providing visual variation to maintain user interest.

The button mechanism effectively demonstrates cause and effect: pressing the button results in a stimulating video and music playing, thereby reinforcing user interaction. It also serves as a motivational reward for more advanced users—solving a math problem or completing an activity grants permission to press the button.

Within the settings, users can customize the duration of video and audio playback with available options: 7 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, or 60 seconds.

Button labels can be personalized through user preferences; while defaulting to blank, users may input text such as "Go," "Johnny," or "Push" to suit individual needs.

The app includes an option to rotate the interface into landscape orientation from the settings menu; however, dynamic rotation during use is disabled to prevent certain types of visual stimulation.

Volume control is adjustable within user preferences for tailored auditory experience.
